Meet Marina Antoniou

Marina is a talented photographer who studied at Central Saint Martins, one of London’s most prestigious art institutions. Her work has been showcased in a range of prominent solo exhibitions, including Ydor at the Cyprus High Commission in St. James’s Square and Climate Change at the Hellenic Centre in Baker Street.

Her photographic journey has taken her to major international exhibitions in cities such as New York, London, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Haarlem, Wales, and at the esteemed Cambridge University. In 2022, her Body Shapes series was also featured in France.

Marina has earned numerous accolades throughout her career, including four Citi Arts Club People’s Choice Photo Awards and the Julia Margaret Cameron distinction. Her work was proudly included in the Barcelona Biennial of Fine Arts & Photography. She also collaborated with the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources through her Arctic Whales photography, contributing to their environmental research.

Her photos have been featured in three photography books published in the United States, and they form part of private collections worldwide. Marina’s work is displayed in various prestigious locations, including villas, financial institutions, and the University of Warwick.

Marina has published five photography books covering themes such as the impact of climate change in Greenland and Antarctica, as well as her explorations of Kenya and Namibia. Her black-and-white book, Europe & Asia, also stands as a testament to her diverse photographic range. Proceeds from her book sales have been generously donated to children’s charities, further supporting her commitment to meaningful causes.

In addition to her award-winning photography, Marina is deeply involved in documentary photography. She has gained special permits to document some of the world’s most exclusive and uninhabited zones, including the Chernobyl exclusion zone, and has presented her compelling work on the abandoned Nicosia airport in Cyprus.
